For the past 15 years, through my studying, volunteering and work experiences, I have had the chance to support a wide range of people from all age groups, with many different conditions and problems. I would highlight my work with: adults with mental health problems; young people with developmental disorders or emotional and behavioural difficulties; and families who experienced traumatic events.

 

I am honoured that I have been able to make a difference in their lives and at the same time I have also learned a lot of important lessons from my clients. For example, I came to realise that theory, skills and technique matter, but a genuine human connection matters the most.

 

Through this caring connection, I aim to empower and emotionally support people to do the work they need or want to do in order to create a "better life" for themselves.
